Big brothers

As a new big brother Nick has been great overall....he asks to hold Anna, lets me know she's crying (as if I don't already know), tries to give her the pacifier, brings her trucks to play with, etc... However last night I think he started feeling a little jealous for the first time. Maybe because "daddy" was holding Anna and he is used to "mommy" holding and nursing her?

So here are a few quotes from my 3 year old son that made me laugh & think to myself, "I have got to write this down!"

"I want to throw baby Anna away..."

"Daddy, put baby Anna back in mommy's belly!"

"I don't want this baby anymore."

Gotta love kid's brutal honesty :-)

Too cute! My son used to always tell my husband to "give mommy baby back" whenever he would home our daughter when he got home from work. He was really upset when daddy wasn't focused on him...not so much mommy!

when you look at it from his perspective, doesnt it make perfect sense? too cute :-) My 3 year old was famous for asking me to "put her DOWN! I want to PLAY!"

Ah, that is so cute!

Whenever my son gets hurt, J Girls starts screaming, "Oh no. Now I need a new baby brother!"

I'm cracking up! As I hear my oldest daughter tell her younger sister" You have ruined my whole life by being in it!" The girls are 15 and 13, you will be hearing lots of things in the next few years!

I think week 5 was Ryan's breaking point. He was great until last week! I haven't heard comments just yet but he sure nows how to "act like a baby" to get my attention lately! Plus when was someone going to tell me that 2.5 year olds go thru a don't listen well stage? I am at my wits end with this child and dread being home full time with both starting 8/1...

I keep telling myself that I will survive...this too shall pass.

I LOL'd at the "put the baby back in Mommy's belly" comment. That was one good thing about Ryan and Grace being less than a year apart..he wasn't able to complain about her;) Although, he's making up for it now by pushing, hitting, and pulling her hair. Can't wait to hang out with you guys again!!
