Monster Jam Philadelphia Ticket Giveaway

My oldest son has been a HUGE fan of monster trucks for years.  We have a large plastic bin full of small and medium-sized monster trucks.  As a toddler he would set up mock shows and play for hours.  We even visited Grave Digger's Dungeon on our way to the OBX.  So when we took him to his first Monster Jam show, he was in heaven!  We have been going to Monster Jam shows for several years now as you can imagine.  Unfortunately we are not able to attend this years Monster Jam show but we are able to send one of our readers....

Monster Jam Philadelphia 2013 is coming to the Wells Fargo Center Friday, October 4th thru Sunday, October 6th.  Wells Fargo Comcast-Spectacor has given us the opportunity once again, to give away a family pack of four tickets to the show on Friday, October 4th (7:30 pm).

There is a hitch this time. We are asking our winner to be a “guest blogger” and share how YOU are the “Biggest Monster Jam fan.”  We want the winner to submit a short before & after blog post about how you are excited to go to the event and then submit a brief post and photos about your experience right after the event so we can share with other readers that might be considering Monster Jam.

So just enter below to win your chance(s) to Monster Jam (you can enter once/day plus we have some bonus entries)...GOOD LUCK!

Gunning It Tips:
~Be sure to bring ear protectors for the kids.  It can get really loud as you can imagine.
~Bring a poster or picture for the drivers to sign if you attend the "Pit Party."  We highly recommend the pit is a chance for the kids to see the trucks up close and meet the drivers.

Snapshot: About Monster Jam Events:

  • At Monster Jam, monster trucks face off in two different forms of competition -- side-by-side racing and freestyle:

    • Side-by-side racing – traditional bracket racing, where the first truck, with the least amount of penalties, crosses the finish line is declared the winner.

    • Freestyle competition – allows drivers a limited amount of time on the open floor to show off their skills. In this category, the fans serve as the judges.

  • 2007 was the 25 year anniversary for the Grave Digger Team

  • More than 4 million Monster Jam fans attend events each year worldwide

  • The World Finals in Las VegasNV brings 24 of the top trucks in the world to compete for the World Freestyle and Racing Championships.  Competitors are by invitation only.

  • A monster truck race team will travel 45,000 Miles / 72,400 kilometers a year by land to attend events.

  • Typical monster trucks cost $600,000 yearly to build, staff, compete, transport and maintain on the Monster Jam tour.

  • Steel body full-size cars are the vehicles typically crushed during a monster truck event.

o      Cars, as well as vans, buses, motor homes, airplanes and ambulances, are attained from local junkyards and returned after each event.

o      Average number of cars crushed per year: 3,000.

I love this contest. I've never been to Monster Jam, but would love the opportunity! I would enjoy taking pictures and blogging about the event as a first timer! :)
